I'm thinking of starting a running theme of listing cool new shit/places/services/people I find in Vegas. To start off this new thing I'm going to give a rating system to each new find. I haven't put enough thought into how I plan on enacting said coolness rating system but when I do you'll be the first to know, chief.

To kick off the idea I'm going to show love to my favorite salon in the city; Curl Up N Dye.

Description: This is not your usual uppity salon or the classic wanna-be salons that are struggling to entice rich white women to patron their establishment. Curl Up N Dye is the anti-salon. They have fun, they listen to loud music, they curse, they create and they innovate in new exciting ways. Think punk rock meets high fashion. The stylists are top of the line ex-expensive salon stylists who mostly just were fed up with the pretentious attitudes that are oh so common within the upper crust salons. Call them up and give them a go. I promise you'll enjoy yourself and the experience. The haircut won't be too bad, either.

Prices/Suggestions: Varies. Men can expect to pay around $25. Bring a second top as the stylists sometimes forget to get the hair off your neck and shirt after the cut. Leave your assumptions at the door and try to get engaged in the experience.

Rating: Pretty Kick Ass
